It has just been brought to my attention that there will be a very cool event held this summer, August 6-10, at The Cathedral College (College of Preachers) in Washington, DC. The conference is entitled Preaching As Testimony: A Conference for Women Preachers under the Age of Forty. The keynote speaker is Anna Carter Florence.
A special conference just for sermonzing women under 40! Unfortunately it costs like $700? to attend. 700 clams? Holy Cow, that's almost rent for a month...
(Perhaps we should start our own young female preaching conference... Women under 30? Under 27? Lisa Flinn, you'd be the Keynote Speaker!)

What a great idea to support young women in ministry! But $700...that is pretty unrealistic for seminarians. Yes, Erin, we should definitely hold our own conference senior year of sem...I mean, are we going to be doing anything else once that approval essay is turned in?! Ha.
